Hi, my name is Katya, and I am excited to announce that I will be opening my Waldorf inspired Home Childcare "Warmth and Wonders" in September . My approach is rooted in the principles of Waldorf education, which honours the whole child-body, mind, and spirit. Children will be given the time and space to learn at their own pace within a warm and nurturing environment providing lots of natural light and outdoor play time in the main floor of my house with a large fences yard, homemade organic meals and child led emergent curriculum. My home daycare is also unique as I purposely create an environment that is nature based simplified and the focus is on minimalism giving children the opportunity and freedom to use their own imagination. Using the Waldorf approach, I will prioritize active listening and provide opportunities for meaningful interactions through storytelling, artistic activities, and play. I worked in Waldorf Childcares in Germany and Canada for over 20 years bringing a wealth of experience in teaching young children with a loving and warm approach. I will offer childcare from 8am-5.30pm for children age 8month- 4 years.
