PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD PRIOR TO CONTACTING ME. For sale is a vintage Sony STR-7065A stereo receiver in excellent condition. Made in Japan 1975-1976. This receiver has been part of my personal collection for a number of years now and I have enjoyed it very much. It has the beautifully warm, sulty tone that made Sony famous. The STR-7065A was their TOTL receiver at the time pumping out 65 Watts per channel of 'vintage' power into 8ohms stereo. This is a harder to find model with a ton of power. Often regarded as one of the best sounding receivers Sony ever built. Specs are as follows: Tuning range: FM, MW Power output: 65 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo) Frequency response: 10Hz to 70kHz Total harmonic distortion: 0.2% Damping factor: 50 Input sensitivity: 1.6mV (mic), 3mV (MM), 250mV (DIN), 250mV (line) Signal to noise ratio: 65dB (mic), 72dB (MM), 90dB (DIN), 90dB (line) Output: 250mV (line), 30mV (DIN), 1V (Pre out) Speaker load impedance: 4Ω (minimum) Dimensions: 471 x 157 x 375mm Weight: 15.2kg This receiver has been well cared for and regularly serviced since my ownership. It has been in recent use and was lightly serviced once again prior to posting this ad. It is in full working condition and each input, function etc has been tested. Controls are nice and quiet. It sounds simply fantastic and has terminals for 3 sets of speakers. For those that "spin the black circle," I found the Phono stage to be particularly nice! Cosmetically this Sony receiver is in very nice condition. It comes with the real walnut veneer outer cabinet (was optional at time of purchase) that is in very nice shape with only a few minor chips on the side. The silver face and controls are clean. All light bulbs are working and the receiver looks beautiful when lit up, however there is some minor light-bleaching of the display. There is also a small imperfection in the printed writing above the tuner dial; some of the word "STEREO" is missing (see picture). I am happy to audition this vintage audio classic for serious buyers. The price is a very reasonable and firm $400. Offers will be outright ignored. CASH ONLY please.
