You will never find better 12AX7A, these are authentic Philips Amperex, these are matched, date codes: I63 delta0E. These are ribbed plates, with halo getter, They all have tested over 98% and sound fabulous! These are probably the rarest of the Philips Amperex made in Holland line of 12AX7 vacuum tubes: Tubes were made in the Heerlen, Holland Philips/Amperex factory that as well produced the Bugle Boy tubes. However, these special tooled tubes received extensive aftermarket screening for low noise and low microphonics, plus uniform output from each triode. They were also then used in EKG and ECG machines, and tube noise could not be allowed as it would invalidate the test results. In music amplification, these tubes sound superb. The music emerges out of a black background of silence, and the sonics are three dimensional. It will outperform about every other 12AX7 ever made! Beautiful break up when used in the V1 position in guitar amps, with a sweet tone that has to be heard to be believed. These tubes test very strong as NOS unused at: Tube 1: 97-99 Tube 2: 98/98 Tube 3: 99/98 Tube 4: 98/97 Tested on our B+K 747 tube tester where 50 is minimum good. These tubes needed to be the best ultra low noise/microphonics, so Philips Amperex made in Holland were used for the most critical applications. Silk screening is intact on all tubes! Not at all analytical, just flat and so very clean! Matched pairs of NOS Philips12AX7/ECC83 in original boxes All great tested readings of: 1350/1350 1250/1300 1275/1200 1200/1250 They all tested very strong and no gas leaks or shorts They are identical to the internal construction and formula as the famous Bugle Boys and were tooled the exact same!
