Trek FX 500W Hybrid Ebike (42km range) Introduction

This is a custom Ebike built on a size L Trek FX Hybrid bike, purchased in 2015 from Trek Vaughan for about $800. The bike itself runs on 700x35c Bontrager H2 tires and the rest of the parts are original and fully functional. The 500W freewheel hub motor ebike kit was purchased from affordableebikes.ca for $500. The battery was custom built with LGM50 21700 cells, at a 48.1V nominal charge and 20A nominal current output. It has a Daly BMS with separate charge and discharge ports. This was about $400 total. The bike itself might have around 3000kms on it, and after the ebike kit was installed the odometer shows about 260km. It can get to 41 km/h on its own power quite quickly, and is a blast to drive. Nothing wrong with it, I am selling as I'm building a new one.
