All these three tools are powered by an off board tethered battery system consisting of the AR 1000 BACK PACK battery. These units can also be powered by a standard AP series battery via the included adapter and carry system. Also, included with this setup is the charging adapter that also allows the back pack battery to work with any AP tool in the STIHL line up and a AL 300 fast charger making this a very good versatile option for commercial and residential users alike.
