This Sony also boasts no less than 8 additional pairs of RCA inputs (4 pairs with output loops), decent AM/FM Stereo Tuner, and a full-range stereo pre-out that can be used for a subwoofer with its own crossover. While the STR-GX700ES may be of limited use as a surround sound receiver due to its somewhat dated technology in that area, it does offer excellent sound quality and more than adequate power for most applications.
