Scenario Magazine (Complete Set of 20 Issues) Introduction
Complete 20-issue run of Scenario: The Magazine of Screenwriting Art, which published full-length screenplays accompanied by interviews with the writers. Interview subjects included a range of screenwriters and directors, including Danny Rubin (Groundhog Day), Carole Eastman (Five Easy Pieces), Claire Denis (I Can’t Sleep), Millard Kaufman (Bad Day at Black Rock), Todd Haynes (Safe), the Wachowskis (Bound), and Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh (Heavenly Creatures). Filmmakers such as Robert Towne, Whit Stillman, and David Mamet also contributed keynote essays to various issues. The magazine also established a partnership with the Sundance Institute to create an annual issue devoted to four films from that year’s Sundance Film Festival. Scenario was selected as one of “The 50 Best New American Magazines” in 1994, and received favorable mentions in publications including The Washington Post, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Variety, The Village Voice, and The New Republic. Issues have been read cover to cover so there is wear, including small tears and chips, but they are still in good condition. $100 for a rare complete set. Issues include the following screenplays:
