**Note - This box will be usable as long as you don't upgrade to ignite. If you upgrade to ignite, it'll be "going full wireless", and this device will be unusable. However, this box will still be available for people who don't use ignite. You can rest assured it's own, not rental. It's still registered on my account at the moment. I'll deactivate it right before a buyer picks it up . The remote has wear and it's a little bit dusty in the corners. You need a new set of 2 double A batteries.
* To add the box to your account - Hook up the box, and call the rogers phone number 1-888-764-3771 on the tv screen. Follow the process till the end (TV - Technical support - Authorize a new box), but don't hang up, and make sure to talk to a service agent. They will request the serial number, and add it to your account.
* The box doesn't get activated immediately unlike older rogers cable boxes. They will add it to your account first, and tell you that you have to wait for 1 or 2 days. Even though you've waited for 2 days, it doesn't get activated automatically. You have to call the number 1-888-764-3771 again, and repeat the authorization process again. BUT this time you do NOT have to talk to a service agent. Chances are it'll get authorized at this moment. You may experience a different setup, but that was my experiences with 2 of the same PVR.
* Pro tip - Make sure if it can record the programs before you buy these used boxes. Many of them can't record the programs because of their broken hard drive inside.
