Great pair of classic EPI 100V speakers. Winslow Burhoe's EPI 100 is one of the all-time classics in speaker history. Very heavy speakers for their compact size. These speakers competed successfully with Large Advents. and Dynaco A25s. Consumer Reports “Best Buy” for many years. The inverted-dome tweeter is produces excellent clarity and dispersion while remaining smooth dramatically reducing listener fatigue. The acoustic suspension design and rigid cabinets produces substantially tighter bass than that from the ported enclosures used for modern home theatre speakers. The drivers are carefully integrated mechanically so only a very simple crossover is required avoiding crossover distortion. This original 1982 pair has newly replaced woofer surrounds.
