DUAL'S earliest stacker turntable. This is the desireable early edition that features the very heavy platter and pitch control of the 4 speeds. 16,33,45,78 RPM.
The unit is one of the most dufficult of the dual units to service. It has a full mechanical service. New cartridge. Tone arm descending damping fluid replaced. RCA cords replaced. The stacker spindle has been serviced.
The unit includes tge original 45 RPM adaptor az well as the single play spindle.
The unit is fully functional and operates as intended. Keeps great time and has an outstanding vintage look.
Often misunderstood as a lesser table, which is true of the 1009 SK edition of this model number, the early 1009 performs every bit as well as the highly sought after 1019 and is a "9" series unit indicating the top of the range as are the 1009, 1019,1219, 1229, 1229Q and the 1249. It has the very heavy platter and pitch adjustment.
The entire mechanism was removed and cleaned and reinstalled by me, a 15 year exerienced Dual restorationist.
