Both Marantz models offer amazing sweet high-resolution power. 2325 is considered more reliable and looks undeniably classic, but at 2X-3X the price. Newer Marantz behemoths such as SR-7009 are not built as well, greatly diminished weight (circa 30 lbs, myriad digital chips) tells the story.
2-digit Marantz series are very special in both design and build, even the 160 wpc Marantz SR9200 (standard line) weighs 2.5 Kg less than SR-19. The SR-19 was tailored to sound just like classic Marantz units, that is, sweet and dynamic, with huge holographic 3D sound stage.
