Sheep looks dull and matted, that's the way it originally was. Has only been hung on a crib or sitting on a shelf, was never played with.
Small removable speaker makes 4 different sounds (heart, rain, ocean, whale) on a timer. I would take the speaker out for travel and use the dull background noise to counter noisy people at family gatherings when baby was trying to sleep!
Has volume control.
One screw missing from battery compartment. Dropped it when I was checking to make sure the batteries were good (no leaks, etc!)
