Beautiful Pioneer XL-A700 )PL-570] Turntable *REDUCED* Introduction

For sale is a beautiful fully automatic Pioneer XL-A700 (same as PL-570). This was Pioneer’s top of the line turntable in 1977/78. This table is in very nice condition, it has been re-veneered in quality vinyl. The table has also been fully recapped and was recently (November, 2022) professionally serviced, cleaned (old grease removed, regreased, etc.) with all auto functions tested and calibrated. Everything works perfectly except the auto return/repeat - does not detect the end of the album (you just press the stop button at the end). Will have to be recalibrated to work. I have added an Audio Technica Safety Lifter to compensate - the tone arm is lifted at the end of the record and you just press stop to return the arm and shut off the table. Works great! Included is the original headshell (no cartridge) and a step down transformer for Japanese voltage). Located in Burlington for pick up only (no shipping). REDUCED TO $950.
