ASUS VM40B Overview
Sporting a spun-metal design, the ASUS VivoPC VM40B Desktop Computer provides a unique finish in a small desktop form factor. While it may be smaller, the VivoPC can offer the same performance as traditional desktop PCs. The VivoPC can handle everyday tasks, such as checking email, browsing the Internet, and using word processing applications.
The system is powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz Intel Celeron 1007U processor. It also has 4GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, a 500GB 7200 rpm hard drive, integrated Intel HD Graphics, 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, VGA, S/PDIF, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 ports. Windows 8.1 is the installed operating system. Windows 8.1 improves the user experience of Windows 8 with several additions and changes. The Start button returns, but has two limited core functions. A right click brings up an advanced menu where you can access the Device Manager, Control Panel and more. You will also be able to boot directly to the traditional desktop screen instead of the Windows 8.1 Start screen. Windows 8.1 provides a unique user experience that differs from previous versions of Windows.

The VM40B features an Intel Celeron 1007U processor. Its dual cores can reach a base speed of 1.5 GHz. The processor also has integrated Intel HD Graphics.

Featuring Intel dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, the VM40B delivers higher performance and broader coverage than previous Wi-Fi standards. The VM40B also comes with Bluetooth 4.0 technology so you'll be able to connect wirelessly to Bluetooth-compatible peripherals and accessories.
