Looks mint, case and base have zero rust or major wear. "I was completely blown away with how good this amp sounds. Like, magically, marvelously good. It actually sounds better to my ears than TOTL RX-1603 monster receiver . Has less power, but definitely sounds better, softer and sweeter, yet still totally life-like, very similar to SX-1280. I have better amps, for sure, but in entirely different price range, so this is quite an achievement for Rotel, to come THAT close. Make no mistake about it, Rotel RA-1312 is a real hi-end amplifier from Golden era of 70’s Hi-Fi. The circuit itself is identical to TOTL (as far as all-in-one-box design goes) RA-1412. RX-1603 is different, but technically it's 2 boxes, not one. Btw, all later Rotel amps (typical black face from 1982 - 2018) sound lifeless compared to RA-1312 and other classic higher end Rotel models. That's regardless of power ratings; build is simply not the same; who nowadays can afford to put real full-sized 8-Gang volume pot into an amp? Krell? Mark Levinson? You bet they do. Look at the price tag.
