Battery compartment is clean and battery cover is present. This radio is pretty loud for it's size and sounds great. It has a 5 band equalizer, Play and Record tape decks, AM/FM Tuner, Synchro Dubbing System, High speed and Normal speed dubbing, detachable 2-way speakers, Mic jack, Aux input, Balance control, Headphone jack, Beat Cut 1, 2 and 3. It takes 8 "D" size batteries ( not included ) comes with power cord. Antenna is present. Great to add to your vintage stereo collection for this very affordable price.
